A clean, careful install protects your investment and safety. Begin by disconnecting power and air. Remove the old seat, then vacuum and inspect the mounting points for cracks or loose inserts. Test-fit the new base to confirm bolt pattern alignment and slider clearance.
Apply thread locker and torque bolts in a criss-cross pattern to spec. For air-ride models, route the air line away from pinch points and heat; test with soapy water to confirm no leaks. Connect electrical for heaters/adjustments and secure looms with zip ties to prevent chafing. Finally, perform a thorough sit test and re-torque after 100–200 miles.
Legacy-compatible seats typically match standard heavy-duty patterns; adapters may be needed in some cabs. Ensure full slider travel without contacting the steering wheel or sleeper.
